Best Netbooks Under 500

If you don’t know what a netbook is think of it this way – it’s a more portable and ‘basic’ version of a laptop. They’re designed to be easy to use and carry around while still giving great performance when it comes to general functions like web browsing, word processing and checking email. They’re simple to use and some function with a more common operating system like Windows XP (the better ones like most of the ones here use Windows 7) while others use something like Linux or the Chromebooks from Google run the Google Chrome operating system which is built for them specifically.

They’re cheaper and easier to use but maybe more similar to an iPad or mobile phone than a laptop. Consider them a cross between a laptop and an iPad. They suit some people better than others but it’s down to you to consider if you want a laptop or netbook. Don’t impulse buy this kind of thing, take your time and think it over!

If you want a bigger more standard laptop which would give you a little more flexibility then look at the laptops.

We don’t make or sell any netbooks ourselves so we have no control over the prices. Most of the netbooks we offer are on special offer and this might change at any time. This is less of an issue with netbooks because they’re generally below $500 anyway but just keep in mind that these prices do change over time and the deals don’t last forever.
